International Security and Law (BA)

Program Description

The International Security and Law program prepares students to tackle security threats facing today’s world. The curriculum exposes students to the diversity of challenges to human security (economic, demographic, environmental, technological), and gives a broad overview of the legal frameworks governing international organizations and transactions. The program pairs this foundation in international security with rigorous methodological training, designed to give graduates the quantitative skills needed in the professional world. Graduates will be able to help organizations assess risk and propose policy solutions to international threats using foundational knowledge in law, quantitative analysis, and diplomacy.

The Master’s in International Security , MA program prepares professionals to address enduring and emerging security challenges of the 21st century, by deepening conceptual knowledge of the field, learning in-depth about a range of current security issues, and mastering analytic and policy skills for a career in the field. The international security program provides strong background in theories of international relations and strategic thought, as well as electives on a wide range of topics, from great power competition to terrorism and WMD, and nontraditional threats from crime and corruption, cyberspace, food and natural resource insecurities, and more. The approach is inclusive and cross-disciplinary. Students will learn about leadership, decision-making, and the major national security institutions of defense, intelligence, and diplomacy.

Global Commerce and Policy (MA)

Program Description

This innovative master’s degree program is designed for current and aspiring private and public sector professionals who seek the knowledge and skills to be effective in an increasingly complex world marketplace. Designed to provide the practical tools needed to compete in the global economy, this interdisciplinary program explores the way business, technology, law, economics, and public policy affect complex cross-border activities. Unlike traditional international affairs programs, the Master’s in Global Commerce and Policy program focuses on international economic issues such as global trade, finance, and investment. It is also distinguished from an MBA program by providing training in the political, technological, cultural, and social aspects of the global economy.

U.S. Law LLM

Program Description

Our online LLM in U.S. Law meets many of the needs of students that are often neglected by residential LLM programs. Traditional programs can be expensive and take lawyers away from their families and jobs for a year or more. Existing programs are not specifically aimed at students who already hold a law degree earned outside the U.S.A. or are non-native English speakers. By comparison, Scalia Law has created courses specifically for foreign-educated lawyers, providing what they need: a comprehensive overview of U.S. Law and a path to bar passage in the U.S.A.

Global Antitrust and Economics (LLM)

The LLM in Global Antitrust Law & Economics provides students with an advanced understanding of the laws that regulate the process of business competition and the economic analysis relevant to understanding modern antitrust adjudication.

With the growing demand in the U.S. and abroad for antitrust lawyers who can facilitate and manage mergers and acquisitions on national and international levels, determine compliance with economic laws of foreign governments, and support the efforts of law firms and corporations, Scalia Law’s LLM is designed to meet that demand.

Conflict Analysis and Resolution (MS)

Program Description

The MS in Conflict Analysis and Resolution integrates conflict analysis and resolution theory, research methods, practical techniques, and ethical perspectives of the field. Students learn specific practices for addressing sources of hostility and methods of altering negative patterns of interaction, applying this knowledge in laboratory simulations, workshops, internships, and field practice. Graduates work in a variety of settings where conflict resolution is useful and interest groups are in conflict with current and emergent public policy.
