The Advanced Studies in Teaching and Learning (ASTL) program incorporates National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) guidelines to help teachers think and practice as leaders and board-certified educators.
Designed for teachers with one or more years of teaching or education-related experience, this program prepares professionals interested in working with gifted children.
Career Opportunities
Mason’s Advanced Studies in Teaching and Learning (ASTL) graduate certificate in gifted education provides advanced professional development for teachers of gifted students. It meets graduate standards set by the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) and the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). Careers include Gifted Education Teacher, Gifted Program Coordinator, Instructional Designer, Educational Consultant, and Professional Development Leaders.
