The study of Global Affairs offers both broad perspectives and specialized knowledge on complex issues such as terrorism, refugee crises, global inequality, and health and environmental challenges. Core courses in the major provide the foundation for this understanding. Your choice of a thematic or regional concentration helps you tailor your degree to your particular interests and career goals.

Courses

Who should apply?
Students interested in developing specialized knowledge of the global political, economic, cultural, and environmental processes with the goal of working in governmental or nongovernmental organizations, international law or security, business, health, or humanitarian efforts and many more fields should choose the Global Affairs major. The choice of a thematic or regional concentration helps students tailor the degree to particular interests and career goals. Concentrations include world regions as well as the Environment, Global Economy and Management, Global Inequalities and Responses, Global Governance, Human Security, and International Development.
