Learn about tuition and billing

The billing process for online learning is very similar to the process for on-campus courses. Tuition is billed per credit hour with additional fees as appropriate. If a student is a resident of Virginia, then in-state rates will apply. For all other students, out-of-state rates will apply.

Fees for late registration, late payment, and return checks do apply to online students. New Student Fees are mandatory, nonrefundable, one-time fees, which occur after you register for classes. These fees apply regardless of orientation attendance or enrollment status. Contact the Student Accounts Office for up-to-date information.
